  • Immersive Experiences: Galapagos Charles Darwin Research Station

    The center of scientific research in the Galápagos, the Charles Darwin Research Station directs sensitive conservation projects, including the preservation of giant tortoises. Visit the corrals used for the breeding and studying of the tortoises, as well as the Exhibition Hall displaying important natural history samples. Afterward, visit a wood workshop where you can see artisans carving figures of the flora and fauna of the Galápagos Islands.

  • Immersive Experiences: Pacaya Volcano Hike

    Pacaya Volcano is one of three active volcanoes in Guatemala. Take a 2-mile hike on a steep but well-maintained trail, which climbs through farmland and pine forest to an exposed ridge offering a panoramic view of Pacaya’s smoking black cone, old blackened lava flows and the volcanoes to the north around Antigua and Lake Atitlan. Continue onto the barren moonscape of the lava flows, where you will enjoy a picnic lunch with a view of the crater from afar.

Weather permitting, we will take a charter flight from Puerto Natales to El Calafate. (If weather does not permit, we will travel there by scenic drive.)
